Our commitment to the safety and well-being of guests and staff takes on added importance as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. That's why Pursuit has partnered with Lysol to provide industry-leading protection in the areas of hygiene and sanitation.

Backed by Lysol's scientifically proved products, protocols and delivery systems, we will continue to help ensure that guests and employees are healthy and safe.

Enhanced Cleaning Program

  • We have introduced increased cleaning protocols with Health Canada-approved cleaners at all our shared spaces at the Banff Gondola. Cleaning of all these spaces will be frequent and thorough.
  • We’ll sanitize each of our Gondola cabins after each use.
  • You’ll also find hand sanitizer stations throughout the entire experience.
  • Staff will wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • In staff spaces, we have improved and enhanced our cleaning protocols. We have implemented staggered lunch schedules and removed chairs to promote social distancing in the lunchroom.

Rigorous Staff Training

  • We know how important teamwork is to keep our staff, guests and communities safe. All of these distancing and cleaning measures need to be clearly communicated so they can be successfully implemented.
  • Our staff onboarding and training is more rigorous than ever. We are always evolving and improving.
  • Our on-site signage and pre-arrival communications aim to be clear and straight-forward. We aim to ensure both guests and staff support these measures.
  • We have new protocols for guest and staff illness reporting and management to help ensure healthy people stay that way.
  • We are committed to ongoing engagement and collaboration with our industry and governmental partners, ensuring we are aligned in protecting our guests, staff and communities.

Crowd-Free Comfort

  • All guests must wear face masks that cover their mouth, nose and chin for the duration of the experience. This includes all of our indoor and outdoor public spaces. Applicable to guests with or without a medical exception.
  • In our lobby area and gift shop, we have reduced capacity to only 15%
  • We have reduced capacity of our dine-in restaurants.
  • We have temporarily closed the interpretive center.
  • We are only allowing single groups to board Gondola cabins.
  • To limit crowding at the ticket booths, we are strongly encouraging advanced online reservations.
  • Our signage will guide guests to keep 2 m apart in all line up areas.
  • In our public spaces, you'll see our team helping to ensure we all work together and that everyone flows through the spaces appropriately—particularly at line ups, in the lobby, when boarding the gondola, at washrooms and throughout the Upper Station.
  • Through the Lower Terminal, flow is now one way and occupancy limited to 15%.
  • Gift shop layout has been altered to allow for social distancing.
  • We have moved furniture from the patio and created one-way flow throughout area.
  • Some of our other transmission-reducing tactics include Plexiglass barriers, personal protective equipment for staff and contactless payment options.
  • We will be screening our team members for illness at the beginning of each shift. Staff accommodations will also have restricted occupancy.

Cancellation Policy

We have implemented a special policy that allows you to cancel up to 2 days before your trip for a full refund during the 2021 summer season*. Travelling on one of our coaches this summer? Cancel up to 24 hours before for Brewster Sightseeing Tours and up to 90 minutes before for Brewster Express trips.

*Cancellation Policy valid March 1, 2021 through to November 1, 2021.
