Dining at Maligne Lake

Whether you’re looking for that perfect souvenir or need a quick and healthy meal before your day of outdoor activities, the Maligne Lake Day Lodge has plenty of options. With its wide-open, sunny, southern, lakeside exposure, the day lodge is one of the best places to eat in Jasper National Park. On the far shores - the wild spectacle of Maligne Lake, the largest natural and glacially-fed lake in the Canadian Rockies, provides stunning views to accompany your lunch. Indoors or out, for lunch or coffee, this is the place to relax and take it all in.

Preparation for your visit to Maligne Lake begins at 5:00am when our on-site baker begins making the deliciously fresh pastries, muffins, buns and breads that the Maligne Day Lodge has long been known for. Everything, including our hearty soup of the day is prepared fresh and made with love by our talented kitchen staff. Just before lunchtime the barbeque on the multi-levelled sundeck comes to life and sirloin burgers hit the grill sending fragrant smoke skyward.
