There are 32 guest rooms. Most have at least two queen beds and a loft. All rooms include satellite TV, digital clock radio, direct-dial telephone, coffee maker, hairdryer, bathroom toiletries, and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. Sofa beds, irons & ironing boards are available on request.

Yes. The Glacier View Inn can accommodate your pets. All pets are subjected to a $25 per pet, per night fee. 

The Glacier View Inn is located on the third floor of the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre.
The Glacier Discovery Centre is located on the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93N) - 1 hour from Jasper and 2.5 hours from Banff at Latitude 52.220281, Longitude -117.2249.

The hotel front desk is located in the lobby behind the glass doors beside the Photo Booth on the main level of the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre. Guests are able to check-in and check-out here.

No. Parks Canada requires all adult visitors to Canada’s national parks to buy a permit for the duration of their stay to support visitor services and facilities. Day Passes or a yearly Discovery Pass are available to buy in-person at Parks Canada's park gates and information centres in Banff and Jasper. Admission for youth 17 and under is free.

Yes, WiFi is available across the entire Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre.

Unfortunately, due to the environmentally sound design of the Glacier View Inn, there is no air conditioning available in the rooms. 

The second floor of the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre overlooking the mighty Athabasca Glacier, hotel guests can enjoy the regions’ newest dining experiences — Altitude and Chalet. 

Altitude, spectacular glacier views wrap the restaurant, providing the perfect backdrop to the Canadian-inspired and locally sourced menu. Altitude offers convenient buffet-style cuisine during lunch and incredible à la carte options for breakfast and dinner.

Chalet celebrates the heritage of the original red-roofed Columbia Icefield Chalet and the stories of the explorers who have enjoyed this destination over the years. The exceptional menu of freshly prepared hot items and the casual self-serve concept provide the perfect location to refuel for your next mountain adventure.

There is also a gift shop, Jasper National Park Information Desk, departure for the Glacier Adventure and Glacier Skywalk on the main floor as well as the Parks Canada Glacier Gallery.

The Glacier View Inn is located directly across from the Athabasca Glacier. Glacier Adventure tours are available providing a journey on a massive Ice Explorer. Shuttles also depart from the Glacier Discovery Centre to the Glacier Skywalk. The area also offers many hiking and biking trails with scenic walking tours and hikes available throughout the summer. 

Experience the magic of Evenings on the Ice, with this exclusive tour that includes appetizers on the glacier. Then come inside for dinner at Altitude Restaurant. Available June 10 – Sept. 10. Reservations are required.

Check-in is available after 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.
