  • For the safety and comfort of all our guests, pets are not allowed within the gondola cabins or building. We do, however, welcome pets on all trails and outdoor areas. Service animals are welcome in all areas of the Banff Gondola when accompanied by their owners. (Appropriate accreditation must be presented on site. Emotional support animals are not permitted.)

Getting to the Banff Gondola

The Banff Gondola is located at the base of Sulphur Mountain at the end of Mountain Avenue in Banff, Alberta in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

ROAM TRANSIT LOCAL ROUTE 1
The Banff Gondola is serviced year-round by Bow Valley Roam Public Transit. Buses run regularly, with stops along Banff Avenue. Visit the Roam Transit website for information at roamtransit.com.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From Banff Ave, travel south to the end, turn left after the bridge onto Spray Ave. Stay right onto Mountain Ave and follow that to the end where you will find the Banff Gondola parking lot. Please note parking at the Banff Gondola is very limited.


Banff Gondola Free Shuttle

The Banff Gondola is partnering with Brewster and Roam Transit to offer stress-free rides from downtown Banff to Sulphur Mountain.

Ride for free with a same-day, pre-purchased gondola ticket aboard Banff Gondola Brewster shuttles. Or take Roam Transit Route 1. Just present your ticket to the driver!
