Make more memories by turning your wedding experience into a multi-day alpine adventure in Jasper National Park!

Canadians usually think of destination weddings as something that happens in far flung tropical locations. But an intimate Jasper wedding can offer many of the same elements of a quintessential destination event, including non-stop adventure and spectacular romantic settings.

We've put together our top five tips to creating a memorable destination wedding in Jasper. And since our team knows all the best places and has access to some of the Canadian Rockies’ most sought-after adventures, we're excited to create an exclusive itinerary just for you.

1. Elevate Your Arrival

Start the festivities from the moment you depart home! A private, luxury motor coach is the perfect way to get everyone from Calgary or Edmonton to the mountains, without stress or the need for a GPS. Our team can help make it happen, and we’ve got room for everyone!

2. Stay Together. Play Together.

Looking to explore, celebrate and stay all in one incredible place? We recommend Pyramid Lake Lodge — a secluded alpine escape just minutes from town. With access to canoeing, paddleboarding and hiking right outside the lodge, your guests will find plenty of ways to fill their days.

Prefer to stay in town? We recommend The Crimson, Forest Park Hotel or any of our other Jasper lodges. No matter where you choose, our team can help book private spaces on-site, and you’ll find local shops, restaurants and hiking trails within walking distance, too.

3. "I Do" with a View

Dream weddings happen in the Rockies. We love shoreside ceremonies at Maligne Lake, with the glacier-fed turquoise waters serving as a scenic backdrop. And after walking the aisle, you can celebrate nearby with a reception in the charming Maligne Lake Chalet or cruise with a small crew to visit the iconic Spirit Island.

The Parks Canada-approved Pyramid Island ceremony site is another show-stopping location, surrounded by shimmer waters and towering peaks. Plus, Aalto in Pyramid Lake Lodge is close by to keep the party alive with dinner and a dance afterwards.

4. Share a Table

Nothing is more comforting than eating a meal with the ones you love. And in Jasper, you’ll have plenty of delicious options to choose from.

Head to Terra at the edge of downtown for an authentic taste of Jasper. The locally inspired menu is fantastic any night of the week, and the private room is a great spot for a rehearsal dinner, too. Maligne Lake is another excellent option for a scenic meal or rehearsal dinner, either al fresco at The View or inside the Maligne Lake Chalet.

There’s no need to rush home after the big day, either. You’ll find tons of weekend brunch options in town and beyond, including at Terra, Aalto and Walter’s Dining Room. Linger a little longer, enjoy a meal together and swap stories from the magical evening you shared.

5. Add Some Exploration

Jasper National Park is filled with incredible sights and unforgettable experiences. The best way to explore more is with a guided tour, like the glacier-top Columbia Icefield Adventure or Ice Odyssey.

Looking to elevate your trip? Ride up the Jasper SkyTram for high-altitude views of town and beyond on Whistlers Mountain, where you’ll also find hiking trails to the summit. Prefer to spend more time on the water? Consider chartering a private boat cruise and watching the sunset with your favourite people on Maligne Lake.
