Can I get into Banff?

Yes. Traffic in and out of Banff is currently open and the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 93 N (the Icefields Parkway) are open.

What roads are open in Banff?

For updates on the status of Banff roads, including the Minnewanka Loop and Bow Valley Parkway, check for updates from Parks Canada.

What restaurants are open in Banff?

Only a handful of restaurants are currently open in Banff for in-house dining. This includes Boston Pizza, Chilis and the Elk & Oarsmen. Many others are offering take-out, including Coyotes, Athena Pizza, Wild Flour Bakery and Earl’s. 

Are there patios open in Banff?

Yes, grab a beer and a table, keep your distance and enjoy the patio at the Rose & Crown Pub. Or sit on a bench with a coffee and treat from Wild Flour Bakery or Perk Coffeehouse.

Which Banff attractions are open?

Currently, all attractions in Banff are closed. Some, including the Banff Gondola, are currently planning to open June 4.

What hotels are open in Banff?

Some hotels are accepting guests in Banff. Others will be doing so shortly. Check avalibility.

Is the airport open near Banff?

The closest airport to Banff is the Calgary International Airport (YYC). It is currently open and domestic flights are arriving and departing. There are no flights from the US or any other international destination.
